About Us

The Hawthorne High of Manufacturing & Engineering Program is a state-funded initiative dedicated to equipping students with industry-relevant skills in advanced manufacturing, mechanical design, and product development. Our facility features cutting-edge labs for precision machining, mechatronics, sheet metal fabrication, and prototype development. Students gain hands-on experience with modern manufacturing technologies, including multi-axis machining, additive manufacturing (FDM, SLA, SLS), metrology, and and digital fabrication. The curriculum spans CAD, engineering concepts, CAM, and prototype development and product design, preparing students for high-tech careers in aerospace, automotive, and advanced manufacturing. Through partnerships with industry leaders and real-world projects—ranging from Decades of FIRST Robotics experience, Formula SAE-style vehicle development to animatronics and drone technology—we inspire the next generation of engineers and skilled technicians.
